With the sudden, rapid spread of Coronavirus there has been a concurrent response from the scientific community, to investigate and tackle the illness.
As part of these global efforts to address the virus, Dr Rashid A. Chotani has developed this Just in Time Supercourse presentation, in collaboration with University of Pittsburgh and Library of Alexandria, about the science of Coronavirus.
Dr Chotani is an expert biosecurity and public health consultant to both public agencies and private industry, with over 20 years' experience in the identification, surveillance, and diagnosis of infectious diseases. He has created several lectures in this Just in Time series, including one addressing the H1N1 virus which has been viewed 50 million times.
The aims of this Coronavirus presentation is to "stamp out bat soup myths about Coronavirus with good science". It is available as a PowerPoint lecture here: http://www.pitt.edu/~super1/lecture/lec56501/index.htm
The slides have been made available in 103 languages, to help global communities of health care workers, and the general public demystify conspiracies, misinformation and allay fears by disseminating the best science before the theories start to grow.
