Diversity in peer review webinar video

See the recent Peer Review Week webinar from Shirin Heidari and Sanjana Balu, hosted on the Elsevier Researcher Academy platform.

The webinar discusses two dimensions of how peer review can help diversify the review process and academia. Shirin talks about the work of the EASE Gender Policy Committee, and the Sex and Gender Equity in Research (SAGER) Guidelines , and how they help to establish norms for detailing these important, but overlooked factors of research. The speakers both emphasise how peer-reviewers can address bias in research and its reporting and elaborate on the need for early career researchers in the peer review process.

The session also provides practical insight into how reviewers can encourage authors and editors to enhance diversity in academia.
